Are Your "Nauts" Like Our iuvonauts?

It’s no secret that there are a few stereotypes out there about IT professionals - one of the most prolific being that they’re a bit on the quiet side. It’s not uncommon to hear people who work with them say that they aren’t sure what their counterparts do all day because they’re just tapping away on their keyboards or disappearing into server rooms. You might even say they wield some sort of magic - things are broken and then mysteriously fixed and no one knows how or why. What sorts of things have you heard?

Meet Our iuvonauts

Here at iuvo Technologies, we’re incredibly proud of our team - our iuvonauts, as we refer to them. We don’t only hire IT professionals that know how to do their jobs and do them well, we hire awesome people. Because of the amount of interaction we have with our customers, and the way that we engrain ourselves into their business operations, we strive to truly become a part of their team. Our iuvonauts are, as one employee put it, “technologists that you actually look forward to seeing and talking to.”

Spreading the Knowledge

Unfortunately, some people also have a slightly less than favorable impression. Their interactions with IT pros have likely been fraught with stress on both sides of the equation. For example, they could have experienced frantic moments of trying to get their tech pro to fix their computer faster when there are five or six (or far more!) tickets ahead of them. Some IT professionals are known for being proprietary with their knowledge - and who can blame them? When you spend hours upon hours learning new tech and figuring out ways to remediate complex issues, it can sometimes feel like a tough pill to swallow to just hand over that information to someone else.

That’s never the case with us. According to iuvonaut Stephen Kleine, “In IT organizations, and even some managed service providers, knowledge and information hoarding under the guise of it being good for personal job security runs rampant. At iuvo Technologies, knowledge spreads far and wide for the asking.” Our team understands that the best and fastest way to solve a problem is to get all hands on deck.

Your Business Partner

Finally, one of the biggest things that sets iuvo Technologies and our iuvonauts apart from the competition is simply the fact that we care. We don’t walk into a customer’s business with the sole intent of fixing a computer and high-tailing it out. We’re there to - as Jeff Ouellette puts it - “solve business problems, not IT problems.”

When we’re working with our customers we’re actually working with them. We’re looking at their short-term problems and long-term goals. We’re figuring out where they can get the most bang for their buck and how they can achieve their initiatives in the most efficient, effective ways possible. We’re on their side, 100% of the time, and we’re doing everything we can to help ensure that their IT runs smoothly so that their business does too.
