iuvo Team Members Supporting Climate Action

At iuvo, we believe that social and environmental responsibility should be at the core of everything we do. We’re proud to be part of a community that strives to leave the world better than we found it, and we’re equally proud to support our team members who share these values outside of the workplace. That’s why we’re excited to share that two of our own iuvo employees, who are members of the band Dutch Tulips, will be performing at Climapalooza—a charity fundraiser supporting Climable,  a woman-led nonprofit dedicated to advancing climate action and energy democracy.

Green tech IT Consulting

Climable, based in Cambridge, MA, works tirelessly to make climate science and clean energy more understandable and actionable for everyone. Their end goals of energy democracy and climate resilience align with the values we hold at iuvo. Climapalooza is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy great music and support local efforts in climate action and clean energy. The event will take place at 6 PM on Thursday, September 26th at Warehouse XI, and promises to be an unforgettable evening of community, celebration, and impact.

We’re incredibly proud that two of our team members, Justin Mantell, Business Operations Analyst at iuvo and Matt Freake, Vice President of Client Services at iuvo, have chosen to participate in this important cause through their musical talents. The Dutch Tulips’ participation in Climapalooza is a testament to the commitment our team has, both at work and beyond, to contribute to clean energy initiatives and climate action, furthering our goal of leaving the world better than we found it.

"We love being able to show up for initiatives and events like Climapalooza because it allows us to use our platform to shed light on the importance of shifting away from dependency on fossil and other types of polluting fuels," said Justin who plays guitar and synth for the Dutch Tulips. Justin went on to add, "Fun-completely-made-up-fact: Pete Townshend's famous "Windmill" style of playing guitar was created to promote the advantages of wind energy over oil, and it will be on full display at Climapalooza."

Why Greentech and Cleantech Matter

Greentech and cleantech are rapidly evolving fields that combine technology and sustainability to create solutions that combat climate change. From renewable energy sources like solar and wind to advancements in energy storage and conservation, these industries are shaping the future of our planet. Supporting events like Climapalooza is one way to get involved and champion the innovations that will help achieve a cleaner, more sustainable future.

When asked about the importance of events like Climapalooza, Matt who plays drums for the Dutch Tulips said, " We really like the community focus of events like Climapalooza. It's easy to get overwhelmed with the vastness of climate change and what you as an individual can do about it. Finding ways to participate and make change in your community is a great place to start."  Matt also shared his thoughts on the role music can play in driving positive change stating, "Music has a long history of bringing people together. It can help bridge the gap among people who might never cross paths otherwise. Making any kind of art can be a really great way to make participating in activism more approachable. We hope people take away some actionable ways to participate in their community whether it is the local music scene or climate activism (or both!)"

Here’s what you can look forward to at the event:

  • Live music from Dutch Tulips
